Melanie Brown
Melanie, originally qualified as a Production
Engineer, B’Eng(Hons) in 1988. She subsequently spent 16 years
working in Information Technology, both in the UK and the US.
In 2000, Melanie was introduced to Pilates after suffering from
Myalgic Encephalopathy (M.E.) for 10 years. She found that Pilates
improved her mobility, co-ordination and general well being. Over
the subsequent 8 years she has continued her development in the
Body Control Pilates®
Method.
Melanie qualified as a Body Control Pilates Matwork Teacher in
2005. She has since qualified to teach Pilates & Pregnancy and
Intermediate Matwork. In 2007 she gained her Body Control Pilates Reformer qualification
She is a dedicated Pilates teacher, who believes in on-going
training to keep her knowledge, teaching skills and qualifications
current. She has built up a wealth of knowledge and a reputation
with local Chiropractors, Osteopaths and GPs. She is a member of the Body Control Pilates Association, REPs, Level
3 Pilates and a Professional Member (Affiliate) Backcare.
Melanie works in association with Lauren Bannister, the Director of
Stratford Pilates Centre
Lauren Bannister
Lauren has worked in the Sports & Fitness Industry for
over fifteen years. She spent ten years working in America and
Europe as a Skydiving Instructor and a Freefall Instructor Examiner
before returning to England in 1996. She then qualified as an RSA
Fitness Instructor, Circuits Instructor and Personal Trainer.
Lauren qualified as a Body Control Pilates Matwork Teacher n 2000.
She has since qualified to teach Intermediate
and Advanced Matwork and Pregnancy & Exercise.
In 2006 she ained her Body Control Pilates Reformer qualification.
She also works as a Body Control Pilates Supervising
Teacher, tutoring trainee teachers prior to and during
their formal qualifications.
Lauren teaches daytime and evening Group Matwork
classes at "Movers and Shapers",
10 Union Street, Stratford-upon-Avon
and private lessons in the Equipment Studio, Limes
Avenue, Stratford-upon-Avon.
